Maine Street Cafe: A Charming Dining Gem in Fallon, NV

Great little place you have to drive through the historic part of town the waitresses veryvery nice astronaut to ask me any questions and just to serve me some food she gave me cream of mushroom soup I hate mushrooms but it's so good I'm eating it. so I ordered the ribeye came with some mashed potatoes and some veggies the veggies were very tasty with some onion fresh cooked and they were hot the mashed potatoes were very good tasting however they were lukewarm if not cold and the steak had no flavor and was pretty tough on top of that it wasn't on the menu and it was $24.95 the most expensive thing on the menu is only seventeen or eighteen bucks so I wouldn't recommend the ribeye maybe a burger would be a better choice. I'm giving it a three stars for the service the service was. The steak was so disappointing I have to take 2 stars off.

This is the best option in Fallon for real food made with mostly high quality ingredients. Service is friendly, food is made to order and fresh, ambience is comfortable. We come back every time we are in town and everything is pretty tasty. Not sure how anyone could give this place a low-star review when compared to most the other options in town. We will be back.

I recently visited a charming cafe in Fallon and had a delightful experience. The highlight of my meal was the Brussels sprouts. Absolutely phenomenal! The Bleu Steak Salad at Maine Street Café is hands down the best around. The steak was cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. But what truly sets this dish apart is the homemade bleu cheese walnut vinaigrette. It’s pure gold—rich, tangy, with just the right balance of savory and sweet. Every bite was a perfect combination of textures and flavors. I'm glad I upgraded to a full size steak for an extra $5! If you're anywhere near Fallon, do yourself a favor and try this salad. You won’t be disappointed with this friendly spot!

Read the fine print at bottom of menu, paying with credit card has an extra fee of 3.5%. Seemed slightly short staffed but the staff were really fast and friendly. They forgot to bring my beer but everyone makes mistakes. The water glasses are kind of small and the water wasn't great. Food is great and prices are good.

Got the seafood pasta and a pomegranate martini. I have to say out of all the places that I've been and tried seafood pasta, this place is one of the best places that has made it wonderfully. What has tied it all together was their creamy vodka sauce, Yum! It was a wonderful dinner. It was a little busy and did take a minute for the food to come out but the wait was worth for the food. Also the staff was attentive as much as they can be with only two people work in that night. I have to say they were great!

The food was off-the-charts good. The service was excellent, and they brought me a bowl of cool water for my Service Dog. The patio was gorgeous, right next to a grassy area, and we saw what looked like a hawk on a nearbytelephone pole. There wasn't any easy way to get my Grandpa into the restaurant, or onto the patio. There were stairs everywhere, and no ramps for wheelchairs or walkers. Several men and a local physical therapist helped us get him down the stairs after dinner, but this is not at all easily accessible for wheelchairs or people with limited movement abilities.

The customer service is great. The Maryland Crabcakes are not Maryland Crabcakes, more like a hushpuppy....pure bread....no crab taste. The lettuce wrap appetizers are good. Get a bottle of the champagne cheaper than individual drinks.
